An app for Today’s women: Track your health on the go
By : Swati Chauhan
A woman’s life is a busy one but if you happen to be the kind of woman who wishes to have the best of both worlds and put up her best show whether it is home, outside or office then you need to go that extra mile and put in extra efforts each day in your everyday life. It is easier said than done though!
Caught up in finishing the never ending list of To Do’s we set out for ourselves , running from one chore to another and ticking off items one after the other from our ever growing task list, we almost forget the most important responsibility and work in our life– Taking care of our own health.
Having realized this a few years back during the sabbatical I was home after my first child birth, I decided to make necessary and conscious changes in my lifestyle and be more aware of my own body and physical well-being.
I searched online and devised my own diet plan, my exercise routines,
and a general discipline for going through the day. I am always on the look-out for information and techniques to help me be in this endeavor.
So when Lunacycle , the makers of award winning Japanese Menstrual cycle tracker app wrote to me for testing their product and writing a product review of it, I was more than excited.
What I read about the app seemed quite promising and I was itching to find out if an App could really help me track my periods, give me information about my reproductive health, physical condition, skin condition, beauty care and even suggest an effective diet. Sounded like a tall order, really!
But I was pleasantly surprised after trying out the app. It really fulfilled its promises and was quite useful especially with the period alert. It’s quite handy for a travel lover like me who makes and carries out impromptu travel plans and impulsive road trips.
To have the reassurance that you will be informed about your most crucial days in advance is a big comfort and mental security.
One thing less to worry about actually!
But not just that, I found its other features related to tracking your BBT (basal body temperature) and body weight quite interesting as well. It can be very useful for women trying to get pregnant as timely and correct information on these two components combined with predictions on ovulation dates can greatly help them exercise a better control over their pregnancy.
Overall, I found it to be a very useful and friendly app for women that help you be more aware of your physical conditions, fitness and makes life a little easier by taking care of the most important and sometimes most ignored part of our life, our health.
Go on download it, I bet you will soon get used to the mental comfort of having a friend keeps track of your health while you are busy battling the modern day life.
It is addictive, it really is!
